On September 26-27, 2024, the CATCOSY Meeting was held at CSIC, Madrid. It gathered experts in metal and metal-oxide catalysts and photocatalysts down to the subnanometer scale. CATCOSY2024 leveraged the strategic position of the COST Action network in the synthesis of metal and metal-oxide clusters in diverse environments their experimental characterization and the application and development of computational and theoretical tools, including ab initio approaches, density functional theory, molecular dynamics and machine learning. The Meeting balanced fundamental science and perspectives for real applications in environmental solutions like water purification and greenhouse gas reduction.

The event featured 14 keynote talks, 10 thematic presentations, and poster sessions. Sponsored by the Royal Society of Chemistry and GEFAM, it fostered significant discussions in the field.
