The COST COSY Training School on Computational Chemistry – Applications in Scientific Research was successfully held on 11–12 June 2026 at the University of Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The event brought together young researchers, PhD students, and academics from various European countries. The scientific programme featured lectures delivered by distinguished speakers from leading European institutions. The event welcomed participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Spain, France, Switzerland, Austria, Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Slovakia, creating an excellent environment for scientific exchange, networking, and the development of future collaborations. During the two-day programme, participants attended lectures and hands-on sessions covering a wide range of topics, including quantum chemistry, molecular modelling, machine learning applications, and advanced computational methods for studying molecular systems.
The successful organisation of this Training School represents an important milestone for the University of Banja Luka and highlights the impact of the COST COSY Action in promoting scientific excellence, capacity building, knowledge transfer, and fostering inclusiveness and equal opportunities for researchers across Europe.
