This two-day training school offers participants a comprehensive approach to analyzing and understanding weak inter- and intra-molecular interactions, combining theoretical, computational, and experimental techniques. The program aims to bridge material chemistry and astrochemistry, focusing on the molecular spectra and interactions of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), small molecules, and subnanometric metal clusters.

Program Highlights:

  • Day 1: Theoretical Foundations and Potential Energy Surfaces
    • Explore the theoretical descriptions of molecular interactions and the modeling of multi-dimensional potential energy surfaces. This day will provide foundational knowledge essential for simulating molecular interactions, particularly relevant to complex chemical systems.
  • Day 2: Simulations and Experimental Techniques for Infrared (IR) Spectroscopy
    • Focus on theoretical simulations of infrared (IR) spectra, coupled with related experimental measurements. This session will bridge theoretical predictions with real-world applications, enhancing understanding of spectra in material and astrochemical contexts.

Each topic will be accompanied by hands-on training sessions, allowing participants to gain practical experience with computational tools and experimental methodologies. These sessions will prepare attendees to address challenges in both academic research and industrial applications.
