SUMMARY:4th General Meeting of COST Action CA21101 ”COSY”
DESCRIPTION:We cordially invite all the members of the COST Action CA21101 (“COSY”)\, as well as all interested parties\, to CSIC Central Campus\, Madrid\, for the Fourth and Final General Meeting of our COST Action. The COST Action is dedicated to a better understanding and recognition of issues relevant to the experimental and theoretical characterization of confined molecular systems\, from those relevant in new materials research\, to those playing a key role in astrochemistry. The Fourth General Meeting of the COST Action “COSY” will gather scientific sessions adressing the five Working Groups (WGs). A Management Committee Meeting will be celebrated during the afternoon of the last day (29 April). The General Meeting will provide an opportunity for the members of the Action’s five Working Groups (WGs) to undertake collaborations addressing the goals of the Fourth Grant Period of the COST Action. For this purpose\, the meeting will host dedicated sessions covering all WGs. This Meeting will be central to promote the deliverables of the COST Action “COSY”. SUMMARY:3rd General Meeting of the "COSY" COST Action 2025
DESCRIPTION:We cordially invite members of the COST Action CA21101 (“COSY”)\, as well as all interested parties\, to Bologna\, for the Third General Meeting of our COST Action. The meeting will be organized by the University of Bologna (Italy). It will start on Wednesday\, the 9th of July 2025\, in the morning and will end on Friday\, the 11th of July\, in the afternoon. \nThe meeting is focused on the experimental and theoretical characterization of confined molecular systems\, from those relevant in new materials research to those playing a key role in astrochemistry. It is an opportunity for active networking between Action members with complementary and highly diverse expertise in confined molecular systems. The 3rd COSY General Meeting is expected to strengthen the existing collaborations between the Action members and to establish new ones. Dozens of flights from Italian and international destinations land here daily: most of the European cities are directly connected to Bologna. The airport is connected to the central railway station by the Marconi Express service\, which takes only 7 minutes to cover the route. The monorail costs €12\,80 one way and €23\,30 round trip.\nIn addition to this\, from 19 May 2025\, is the new “Q” BUS CONNECTION Bologna Airport with Maggiore Hospital and Central Station. Bologna is also the gateway to the A14\, running along the Adriatic side of the peninsula from Romagna all the way to Taranto. All services (accommodation and meals\, which fulfil a daily allowance of EUR 130/day) shall be booked in advance by contacting directly with the hotel by email (hpwroclaw@hotelepark.pl) using the keyword for booking “COST-COSY” and the reservation form. \nPlease provide any dietary requirements on the form. \nThe dinner on 1st July (Monday) is planned as the Welcome/get together grill on a terrace with the river view. \nPlease note that it is possible to book specific meals you wish\, as well as also book just meals if you decide to stay elsewhere. \nTravel (How to get to Wrocław)\nPlease note the other names used for Wrocław–Breslau (German) and Breslavia (Italian) \nTravel by Plane \nIt is recommended to travel to Wrocław by plane. \nWrocław Nicolaus Copernicus airport (WRO) (https://airport.wroclaw.pl/) is located on the south of the city\, about 30 min by car to the conference value. \nThere are direct flights from several European cities\, and connected flights by LOT\, Lufthansa\, KLM\, Swiss\, Finnair\, Ryanair\, and WIZZ. \nIt is also possible to fly to other Polish airports\, such as Warsaw\, Poznań\, Katowice\, Kraków and then travel by train\, but we do not advise such an option. \nTravel by train \nThere are direct trains to/from Wrocław to Berlin (about 5 hours) \nTravel by bus \nThere are direct buses to/from Wroclaw by Flixbus (https://www.flixbus.pl) convenient options include Berlin\, Dresden\, Prague and Brno. \nTravel by car \nWrocław is well connected by highways (A8\, A4) and high speed roads (S8) with travel by car below 4 h to Warsaw\, Berlin\, Prague\, below 6 h to Bratislava\, Vienna\, and 7 h to Budapest. \nHow to get to the conference venue \nPublic transportation \nFor Wrocław (and other Polish cities) public transport we recommend the app Jakdojade (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.citynav.jakdojade.pl.android). \nYou can buy the ticket on the app\, or you can buy the ticket on board by credit/debit card (ticket is encoded in the card). \nFrom the airport \nBus 106 (every 15 minutes) is connecting the airport and the main railway station (“dworzec” in Polish) Wrocław Główny\, total cost below 10 PLN (2 EUR). \nFrom train/bus station \nThe main railway station is Wrocław Główny (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wrocław_Główny_railway_station) while buses Flixbus are arriving to the main bus station\, which is located in the next building (Wroclavia mall https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wroclavia). \nThere are trams (number 15 and 18) reaching conference centre from these locations in about 20 minutes. \nBy car \nThe taxi/uber drive from the airport to the conference venue takes about 30 min (depending on the traffic)\, with estimated cost 50-100 PLN (10-20 EUR). \nRegistration\nIn order to participate at the GM it is necessary to: \n1. DESCRIPTION:First General Meeting of the COST Action CA21101 – COSY: Confined Molecular Systems: From a New Generation of Materials to the Stars.\nhttps://generalmeeting.cost-cosy.eu/ \n\nUniversidad de Cádiz (Cádiz \, Spain) March 1-3 2023\n\n\nWe cordially invite members of the COST Action CA21101 (“COSY”)\, as well as all interested parties\, to Cádiz\, for the First General Meeting of our COST Action. It will be dedicated to a better understanding and recognition of issues relevant to the experimental and theoretical characterization of confined molecular systems\, from those relevant in new materials research\, to those playing a key role in astrochemistry. It is an opportunity for active networking between Action members with complementary and highly diverse expertise in confined molecular systems. This first COSY General Meeting is intended to be a forum for detailed discussions. It will thus provide an opportunity for the members of the Action’s five Working Groups (WGs) to undertake activities that will address the goals of the 1st Grant Period of the COST Action. For this purpose\, the meeting will host dedicated sessions for the five WGs. In addition to invited talks of 25 minutes by COSY members from all WGs\, the participants will be also invited to present hot topic posters preceded by 2-minutes flash presentations which will be held after the first scientific session. \nThe meeting will be organized by the Universidad de Cádiz (Cádiz\, Spain) and CSIC (Madrid\, Spain). It will start on Wednesday\, the 1st of March in the morning and end on Friday\, the 3rd of March before lunch. \nThe meeting will serve as a platform to connect the five Working Groups (WGs) of COSY: (WG1: red\, WG2: brown; WG3: violet; WG4 blue; WG5: green). \n\n
